OER आणि CC बद्दल मला समजलेलं अगदी थोडक्यात सांगायचं म्हटलं तर OER म्हणजे Open - (सर्वांना वाचता / पाहता येईल असं, प्रिंट / डिजिटल माध्यमात उपलब्ध ), Educational - शैक्षणिक , Resourse - साहित्य

CC license : सामायीकरणाचे प्रमाणपत्र. एखादा OER कसा शेअर केला आहे हे इतरांना कळावे म्हणून यात अनेक प्रकारची licences घेऊन आपल्या OER ला लावता येतात. हे सर्व प्रकार मुख्य ५ प्रकारांचे एकत्रीकरण (कॉम्बिनेशन ) करून बनतात .

या licence चे हे प्रकार, त्यांची कॉम्बिनेशन्स व ते कसे मिळवायचे हे खूप सोपे आहे. हे बघण्यासाठी http://creativecommons.org/ या संकेतस्थळाला भेट द्यावी लागेल.

थोडक्यात ते असे आहेत -

१. पब्लिक डोमेन : कोणतेही licence नाही.

२. CC BY - हा OER आपल्याला आपल्या resource मध्ये वापरता येईल पण ज्याच्याकडे त्याचे licence आहे त्याचे (BY) नाव आपल्याला आपल्या resource मध्ये नमूद करावे लागेल.

३. CC ND - (Non-Derivative) - हा OER त्यात कोणताही बदल न करत वापरू शकतो.

४. CC NC - (Non-Commercial) - हा OER व्यावसायिक उपयोगाव्यतिरिक्त अन्य ठिकाणी वापरू शकतो.

५. CC SA - (Share Alike) - हा OER त्याच्या licence मध्ये कोणताही बदल ना करता वापरू शकतो.

वरीलपैकी २ ते ५ ची कॉम्बिनेशन्स करून वापरू शकतो.

उदा.
१. मी एका कंप्युटर प्रोग्रॅमचा फ्लोचार्ट Draw.io वर बनवला होता त्याला CC चे licence (CC BY NC SA) लावले. म्हणजे हा फ्लोचार्ट कोणीही वापरू शकतो पण त्याला त्यात माझे नाव नमूद ठेवावे लागेल (BY), त्या फ्लोचार्ट मध्ये तो बदलही करू शकतो (ND वापरलेले नाही ), अव्यावसायिक उपयोगासाठीच वापरू शकतो (NC) आणि जेव्हा तो अशा प्रकारे बनवलेला त्याचा OER शेअर करील तेव्हा त्याच्या मूळ OER च्या licence मध्ये कोणताही बदल न करता (म्हणजे CC BY NC SA असे ) शेअर करावे लागेल (SA).

Visual Studio Code is now available for Linux as an Ubuntu Snap

One of the major reasons why Windows users don’t tend switch to Linux was because of Visual Studio. That’s about to change. Microsoft's popular integrated code editor will now work seamlessly on the Windows OS. 

Microsoft has released the Visual Studio Code version for Linux users which is another good news for them after the recent release of Linux Lite 4.4. It will be offered as an Ubuntu Snap which is a form of containerised package capable of working on any Linux environment, on-device, on-premise or on the cloud. Ubuntu snaps can be automatically updated and they are extremely secure.
